# Earl Grey Scones
## Ingredients
### For the scones
- 3 cups flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons of loose Earl Grey Tea
- 1 1/3 - 1 1/2 Cups of heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
## For the icing
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 to 2 tablespoons whole milk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
## Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and loose tea
3. In a 2 cup liquid measuring cup mix the heavy cream and vanilla
4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until there’s no flour on the bottom of the bowl. Add more heavy cream as necessary. Do it one Tablespoon at a time.
5. Split the dough in half and roll out on a floured surface. 5 1/2 inch circles 3/4 inch tall
6. Cut the circles into 6 pieces and move to the baking tray. Keep them an inch apart.
7. Lightly brush the tops with heavy cream
8. Bake for 14-15 minutes until the tops are lightly browned.
9. Let them cool on cooling racks before icing
10. Mix the vanilla, powdered sugar, milk together in a small mixing bowl
11. Top the scones with the icing and enjoy
